Description

Task

A Task is a project you are working on. Examples: 1040,1120, Audit, Monthly Bookkeeping.

Status

A Status is the current stage of the project lifecycle that the Task is in. Examples would be Preparation, Review, or Complete.

Deliverables

Deliverables refer to the list of main deliverables for a Task that can have due dates and extensions. An example of a deliverable is an area subject to its own distinct tax regulations, such as a city or country.

Checklist

A set of guidelines to standardize what items need to be completed for each Task. These items can be assigned to staff to be completed independent of the Task.

SignOffs

A process that provides greater accountability and quality control when Tasks are moved within the workflow of a firm. SignOffs are useful to track completion steps for all types of Tasks including Tax, Financial, Bookkeeping/Accounting, and other types of Tasks.
