The General Task Info section contains both Client/Entity and Task information.
If this Task was created in error, you can move the Task to the To Be Deleted Status and create a new Task from the My View page.
The Client/Entity information cannot be edited in the General Task Info section. To edit the Client/Entity information, click the name (hyperlink) beside the Client/Entity Name that takes you to the Client/Entity Details page where you can update the client information.
You can enter or modify the details for the following fields in the General Task Info section:

Manually set to remind you of a projected Task Start Date or Restart Date. |

An internal due date (expected delivery date) that can be set by a user. |

Date when an audit is released and published. |
Description |
This field is a Task identifier similar to Client/Entity Name, Task Type, and Period End Date. If you attempt to create a Task where all the Task identifiers are identical to an existing Task, XCM will not allow you to duplicate the Task. Some Description examples are special projects and amended returns. |
Level of Difficulty |
Select the level of difficulty of the Task. |
Priority |
Select the level of importance as Low, Normal or High. |
Software |
Select the appropriate tax software used by your firm to prepare the Task or other service. |
Client Letter |
Date of client/entity acceptance of client/entity engagement letter or 7216 regulations. |
Comments |
Comments specific to the Task are limited to a maximum of 750 characters. |
Do not Rollover |
Select this check box when the Task should not be rolled over. |
